The best way I can describe Glass Harp would be pioneers of contemporary Christian music. If the band name sounds unfamiliar think of a young "Phil Keaggy". Some of these songs are available on the live album "Strings Attached" and while a good CD, the original songs are what I missed.

I approached this album with a completely open mind and no pre-conceived notions. What I found was some tasty, classy, adventurous, and genuine rock music! Overall, the music sounds quite late 60's, with a large, atmospheric production (i.e. some great reverb). Adding to this, and complimenting it, are some nice string section accents and flute /5(23).

Available on vinyl for the first time in 40 years, Outernational Sounds presents Horace Tapscott's burning, spiritualized set, The Call. One of the unsung giants of jazz music, the composer, bandleader, arranger, pianist and community activist Tapscott was the undisputed keystone of the grassroots Los Angeles jazz scene.
